Watch Out For Dead Grass

Each summer we see ant, grub, sod webworm and chinch bug damage in lawns. If you've had grub damage in the past or your neighbors have, you may want to consider using a preventative treatment to kill the grub eggs before they hatch. This method is 80% to 90% effective on most grub species and is commonly done in late May through June.

Do you suspect that insects are damaging your lawn? Grubs, sod webworms and chinch bugs are commonly found in turf.
Call the experts at RiverView Professional Landscapers to diagnose the problem. Our crew will carefully inspect your plants and give you options to control problem insects.

Grubs, Sod Webworms, Chinch Bugs
Adult Sod Webworm

Are you seeing silver moths fly up when you mow? Then you probably have sod webworms. We can also control them. More than one insecticide application may be necessary especially if neighboring lawns are also infested.

Adult & Nymph Chinch Bug

Lawns can tolerate a low population of chinch bugs depending on the nurf condition. However, chinch bugs reproduce rapidly, so even small populations should be watched closely and treated to prevent further damage.
